Highways officers called to pedestrian WALKING on the M6

The officers discovered a pedestrian attempting to walk up the northbound stretch between junction 16, near Crewe and Stoke-on-Trent, and junction 17, Sandbach . The identity of the person has not been revealed. A Highways England spokesman said: “M6 northbound j16 towards j17 (Nantwich, Crewe, Sandbach) officers are responding to a pedestrian walking on the northbound carriageway.” Traffic monitoring company INRIX reports no delays as a result of the incident.
