Women’s Golf Primed for MVC Championship on Sunday

DES MOINES, Iowa – The Drake University women’s golf team is preparing to play at the Missouri Valley Conference Championship on Sunday (April 16) through Tuesday (April 18). Live Results The Bulldogs were tabbed to finish eighth in MVC pre-championship poll, voted by the league coaches. Drake is led by sophomore Grace Dunn, who is averaging a team-low 77.5 per round. She has been the team’s top finisher in three tournaments and recorded a career-best 216 (71-70-75) at the Bradley Invitational earlier this month. Junior Madison Glennie, who has a 77.8 average per round, struggled early this spring but has gotten back on track the last two tournaments with a pair of top-10 finishes. In her last five rounds, she averaged 75 per round compared to 83.3 the first six rounds of the season. Story Links The 54-hole event hosted by Southern Illinois at the Dalhousie Golf Club in Cape Girardeau, Mo. will utilize tee times each of the tournament’s three days starting at 9 a.m. The winner of the three-day tournament will advance to the NCAA Regionals.last_img
