According to the front page of Tuesday’s edition of Marca, the relationship is ‘broken’ and there are ‘no solutions’ for the situation to improve. It cites the Welshman’s appearance from the bench in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Eibar, in which the player looked demotivated and did not show any warmth to Zidane on the timeline. The 30-year-old has only scored two goals in La Liga this season and none since the 2-2 draw at Villarreal in early September, finding himself a peripheral figure this campaign. Bale remained at Madrid beyond the January transfer window despite reports linking him with a return to Tottenham, while a transfer to China collapsed last summer.Advertisement Loading… A report last month in Marca claimed that Newcastle United will make signing Bale their priority once their Saudi-backed takeover is processed next month. 2 April 2009Over 1.6-million ticket applications from 205 countries were made for the 2010 Fifa World Cup in the first round of sales, with locals counting for 30% of applications, and most overseas interest coming from the US followed by the UK, Germany, Italy and Australia.Fifa announced on Wednesday that it received 1 635 136 applications from fans across 205 countries since tickets went on sale on 20 February.Although there were some complaints from local fans about the difficulties in getting their applications in, the world football governing body said the first phase had gone well.“This impressive total underlines the extraordinary level of interest all over the globe,” said 2010 World Cup Local Organising Committee (LOC) chief executive Danny Jordaan.South African residents made around 30% of the 1.6-million requests for seats.Overseas interestOf the 70% from the rest of the world, most came from the United States followed by Britain, Germany, Italy and Australia. According to Fifa, the international price starts at US$80 for a seat at a group-stage match. The most popular requests on the 64-match programme were for the opening game on 11 June and the final on 11 July. Both will be played at the Soccer City stadium to the south of Johannesburg, which is being upgraded to hold 94 700 spectators. In price terms, the most popular tickets were the category 3 tickets or second-cheapest tickets. The cheapest category four tickets are reserved for South African residents.“It is very pleasing to see the huge global interest in the first African Fifa World Cup,” said Jordaan.Ticket drawSince the first sales phase was on a random-selection, draw basis, applicants will only be told if they were successful after the draw on 15 April.According to the LOC, applicants will be informed, either via email or SMS, by the end of this month at the latest, letting them know whether their application was successful or not.In total, around three million purchasable tickets are available for the tournament, which is being held next year for the first time on the African continent.Further ticket salesThe second of five ticket sales begins on 4 May, during when tickets will then be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and Jordaan urged South Africans to get their tickets as soon as the second phase ticket sale began.“We want to encourage even more South Africans and Africans to apply for their World Cup tickets during the next sales phase, so they do not miss out on this unique once-in-a-lifetime experience,” he said.In phase three, all applications will be considered, and if the demand exceeds availability a random draw will take place. Allocations in phase four will happen on a first come, first served basis, while the last phase will see ticket transactions taking place at the point of sale.Source: BuaNews
One of the surest ways to generate interest in net-zero-energy homes – and the construction techniques and materials used to build them – is to put one in the ground for a high-profile client and then invite the public for a look. That’s what 10 students in the Yavapai College Residential Building Technology program did a couple weeks ago in Chino Valley, Arizona, where the 1,200-sq.-ft. NZEH they built for the Prescott affiliate of Habitat for Humanity went on public display. In addition to its energy efficiency and relatively low cost (one estimate put its value at $125,000), the house has the distinction of being first in a number of categories: it not only is the first NZEH constructed by students in Yavapai’s RBT program, but also the first such home built for Habitat’s Prescott affiliate, and the first in the state of Arizona, according to a story published by Prescott’s Daily Courier. The house features a Styrofoam-insulated slab, 2 in. rigid insulation in the walls, high-performance windows, a heat pump, balanced fresh-air ventilation, a solar-powered hot water heater, a PV system, and Energy Star appliances and lighting.Robert Bolding, owner of a Prescott-based home inspection company who works as a volunteer building Habitat homes, told the Courier he came to examine the home’s construction because he may have to inspect more like it in the future.Bolding, who also works as a general contractor, added that he wants to understand more about the cost effectiveness of green construction.“I think this technology is moving from the East Coast to the West Coast,” he told the paper. “Arizona residents may not be using as much solar energy as they could be because electricity is a lot cheaper here.”
Residential photovoltaic systems often have a capacity of less than 10,000 watts, or 10 kW — which is usually enough to cover the needs of a single family. Commercial PV installations, on the other hand, are big and getting much bigger. At a data center in Maiden, N.C., Apple says it has finished a 20-megawatt array that covers 100 acres of land and produces 42 million kWh of energy per year. The company is adding a second 20 MW array that’s expected to be operating by late this year plus a 10 MW fuel cell.Apple says the PV system is the largest “end user owned” array in the country. In all, the company’s renewable energy production in Maiden will produce 167 million kWh of electricity a year, enough to power 17,600 homes. In Mexico, an even bigger installationIn La Paz, Baja California Sur, a 30 MW solar project is expected to be finished by August, according to an article in Power Engineering International. It is Mexico’s first utility-scale solar project to be built under an agreement between a private company and the country’s federal power company, the publication said. The 132,000 PV modules will be able to produce 82 gWh of electricity per year and will cover about 240 acres (100 hectares) of land. It will be the biggest solar electric facility in Latin America.Power Engineering International said Mexico’s total PV capacity is currently about 13 MW.
What you believe about your pricing as a salesperson is what your prospective clients will believe about your pricing. You’re Hiding SomethingEven if you never say out loud that you believe your prices are too high, your body language, your lack of confidence, and the caution in your voice will tell your prospect that you don’t believe you are worth paying more.If you refuse to discuss pricing when asked, it looks like you want to avoid the subject, that you are uncomfortable discussing it. Your avoidance can cause your client to believe that you are afraid to tell them the price because the sticker shock is going to cause them to cut off the conversation. Because you don’t believe the value, they don’t either, and then they do try to end the conversation quickly. Why Your Price Is HigherIf your price is higher than your competitor’s, then it’s higher. Pretending that it is not, or trying to avoid talking about your pricing destroys any confidence in you and your product, service, or solution. You can’t be a trusted advisor and be afraid to “go there” with your clients. The choice to have a higher price is a strategic decision. Higher prices allow companies to create greater value and the kind of meaningful differentiation that produces more significant results—as well as creating a preference for those companies. The right choice is to embrace your high price as the advantage that it is. That higher price allows you to produce better results than your competitors. It allows you to invest money in areas where your competitors are hampered by their lower price, often including the people necessary to serve clients well. It allows you to do things that differentiate you in a crowded market. You Transfer Your BeliefsIf you believe your price is too high, then so will your prospective clients. You will transfer that belief to them through words said or unsaid, and actions taken and avoided. If you believe your higher price is a bargain for the value that you create, then you will transfer that healthier belief to your prospective clients. It’s true that not everybody is going to believe that your price accurately reflects the value you create; that is why we call what we do selling. That said, if someone doesn’t value what you do enough to pay for it, then they aren’t really your client.

However, Eriksen is seemingly keen to re-sign with Tottenham, but only if they meet his demands. He told TV3 Sport: “[The future is] not something I’m thinking of. I focus on playing football, and there are many battles you have to think about which must be won.”Responding specifically to Madrid’s interest, he added: “It is not the first time that there have been rumours, and when the newspapers write something, it is not something we are masters of. If there is nothing concrete, then I just comment on rumours.”I think people know what I want, and I know what they [Tottenham] would like. There is a nice dialogue so there is nothing [new] there.”
Minister of Transport and Mining, Hon. Mike Henry, is calling for a change in the behaviour of road users, in order to reduce road fatalities. He noted that while road fatalities to date are 25 less than the 185 deaths recorded over the corresponding period in 2016, the figure is still high.“While the trend suggests that we are on track to achieve another below-300 year, I will not be satisfied until I see a significant change in the behaviour of our motorists and all road users in general,” he said.“We must slow down. We must curb our aggression. We must control our emotions. We must obey the rules and regulations of the road code. We must drive with due care for the next road user. We must not be distracted. Stop driving and texting,” he implored.Minister Henry was speaking in an interview with JIS News at the ninth annual Jamaica Driver and Traffic Safety Expo held at the Ranny Williams Entertainment Centre on Saturday (June 24).Westmoreland has recorded the most road fatalities since the start of the year. The western parish accounted for 34, or approximately 21 per cent, of the 160 road fatalities recorded up to June 23.Next is St. Catherine North with 15; St. Ann with 14; Hanover, Manchester and St. Catherine South with 11 each; while Clarendon and St. James have both recorded 10 road traffic deaths since the start of 2017.Meanwhile, the Minister said that timely access to medical care is critical in ensuring the survival of road crash victims.“The further away you are from a health facility that can treat your injuries, the less chance you have of surviving the golden hour,” he said referring to the period within which the victim is likely to survive.According to the World Health Organization (WHO), the patient’s chance of survival is greatly increased if he/she receives medical care within an hour of injury.Studies show that at least 50 per cent of fatalities can be averted if victims are admitted to hospital within that first hour.Jamaica has signed on to the United Nations Decade of Action 2011-2020, and, in so doing, made a commitment to reduce road fatalities by 50 per cent by 2020.
