Curtis Granderson signs minor-league deal with Marlins

first_imgThe 37-year-old Granderson, a former Yankees teammate of Marlins part-owner and CEO Derek Jeter, hit 13 home runs and slashed .242/.351/.431 last season in 343 at-bats with the Blue Jays and Brewers.A three-time All-Star with 332 career home runs, Granderson has also played with the Tigers, Mets and Dodgers in his MLB career. Granderson is not as fast (he led the AL in triples twice) or powerful (he twice topped 40 homers with the Yankees) as he once was, but could be a useful player for Miami.
